Cleaning Pool Coping Stones and Textured Poolside Surfaces
Poolside surfaces are awkward because they are often textured for grip, exposed to the weather, and expected to remain safe underfoot. When paint starts flaking or staining settles into the texture, pressure washing and scrubbing do not always solve it.
Why these surfaces are difficult
- Heavy texture traps contamination and failed coatings
- Decorative edges and curved pool shapes are fiddly to work around
- Moisture, algae and prior cleaning methods can complicate preparation
- Slip safety remains critical before, during and after any work
Laser cleaning can be worth considering where a controlled method is needed, but proper site assessment and safety controls are essential in poolside environments.
